Marcos + Mary || Wedding Goodness

Thoughtful. Relaxed. Gorgeous. Full of Love.

These words describe Marcos + Mary and their December wedding!

Early last November, I received an email from Mary asking if I was available to shoot her wedding in December - I was thrilled! Mary and I had met a couple times before in years past though mutual friends, but we hadn't seen each other in years and now she was getting married! We exchanged a bunch of emails and then eventually met up for coffee to discuss final details - I'm pretty sure we spent more time chatting and catching up on our lives than talking about the wedding!! A sure sign it was a great match! :) :)

The wedding day started with me meeting the girls in their hotel room as they got ready - as soon as I walked in, an excited Mary welcomed me with a big hug! Her sisters and bridesmaids were all there getting their hair done and putting on the finishing touches. Mary had told me about her dress beforehand, but wow, it was stunning and classy!! My favourite moment was when Mary's younger sister saw her in her wedding dress for the first time and had big, happy tears - it was a adorable sister moment. Then we whisked off to the church; a sweet ceremony well attended by many people who love this couple as they made their vows before God and men to love each other forever.

Marcos and Mary chose to have a brunch reception after at the River Cafe - it was absolutely perfect! The decorating, the location, the food!! And the seating chart was amazing!! Marcos and Mary are originally from two different countries and live in a third country! So traveling happens a lot! Their seating chart had different cities on a map and each city was a table. And having a brunch reception was perfect because it allowed for some lovely photos down by the river before the winter sun set in the late afternoon. Thankfully the day was warmer and there was a light sprinkling of snow the night beforehand.

Marcos + Mary - THANK YOU for asking me to photograph your wedding!! It was a true JOY being a part of your very special day! All the best as you settle into married life across the pond!

Enjoy!
Jocelyn
